Very Sad News

It is my sad privilege to notify you all that Chris known by most of you as Hawkwing, HW, Penguin Feather, among other names through out his ORKFiAN career has passed away.
He was involved in car accident two nights ago while driving through St. Louis en route to his Family home in Raymore Missouri from Flordia.
He was critically injured in the crash, leaving him in pretty bad shape, but after tests this morning it was determined that there is no brain activity.
Funeral services have not yet been announced but I will let you all know more as I am updated. Please keep him, his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers.

On a personal note, I know this post seems kind of void of emotion…I don’t deal with death well. Please forgive me that but, being as close to him as I was I know he would want you all to know what happened.Merry Part my dear friend…you will be missed

I wish to pay him some type of tribute, my idea is to either create a new race Hawks with Hawkwing as elite unit or something like that, if anyone else has a better idea how to pay tribute and to have something to remember him of please get in touch.

Introducing the weekly poll
Hi, this is long overdue but finally here is the Orkfia Portal – Weekly Poll.
This has been on the todo list since the huge survey we had months ago (If there is any volounteers that would like to make graphs out of the rawdata then please let me know, dunno how relevant the data would still be but atleast it would be fun to see.) so here it is, every monday there will be a new poll posted. Contest – Create a Banner

About a year ago Scarlo launched a Banner Competition, there was a few banners and userbars made but a winner was never announced.
So
Its now launched again, the previous banners and such can be found here on the forum.
Requirements:
- It has to be about Orkfia
- You have to be the creator
Now over to the deadline, deadline to enter a banner etc into the competition is 25th / 03 which is the one year anniversary for Orkfia Portal.
PRIZE MONEY, did that caught your attention? I hope it did, the prize money for this contest is $10 for the winner and $5 for the one coming second. Payment to be made through paypal.
So start up your photoshop, gimp, paint or whatever your favorit program is and start creating.
Once the deadline closes everyone on the portal forum will get to vote for the winner.

Just wanted to inform everyone that the survey is closed and Im working on the raw data to bring a post at the end of this week containing all the data in some graphs.
Here is a little preview, this question was: “Rank The Portal“, like most of the question you could pick 1-5 and “I don’t know”.

Saturday News – YouTube Contest
Hello.
Its now less then one week remaining for Age 34 in Classic to start, the age starts 00:00ST between 24th and 25th. I would like to thank all of you that made Age 33 such a fun age.
Things are looking good for the next age, seems like its gonna be six big alliances running for the 1-1-1. If the rumours are true then we got the following alliances to look for next age:
- Genesis
- Playing with Noobs (This age #14)
- CountDown
- Mostly Harmless / Core
- The Collectors (This age #22)
- Stoff Wanted (This age #16)
If all these alliances can manage to get full alliances with active players then this seems to be one of the most exciting ages this year.
A few weeks ago I did a check on youtube for anything Orkfia related, Orkfia gave one hit:

We have earlier had a contest for the best Orkfian Biography here on the portal, Its time to bring a new one. Orkfia @ YouTube Contest.
The rules are simple, create a video promoting Orkfia (It can be for Orkfia AatW, Orkfia Classic, Orkfia Portal or just Orkfia in general), it has to be atleast 30 seconds long, post your video on the portal forum in the contest thread which will be added once Im done with this post. Deadline for posting your video is three weeks from now so at 00:00ST between 8th and 9th November is the latest to submit your video.
The winner get €10 sent through paypal and a secret gift announced later on.
So what are you waiting for people, get that inner artist of yours into work!:)
